Abstract:
Records of Housatonic Monthly Meeting and its predecessors, Housatonic Preparative Meeting and Newtown Preparative Meeting, 1957-ongoing. Includes minutes, newsletters, and state of the meeting reports. Beginning in 2021 records have been deposited digitally.

Newtown Preparative Meeting was established in 1957 as part of Wilton Monthly Meeting. In 1969 the meeting changed its name to Housatonic, and was granted Monthly Meeting status by Purchase Quarterly Meeting in 1971. This meeting remains active to date.

Transferred from Haviland Records Room by NYYM in 1997.

First set of pdf files includes minutes for January through June 2021, as well as a fundraising note. Minutes for March 2021 include 2020's State of the Meeting report. Minutes for 2023, including State of Society, were deposited in January 2024.
