Abstract:
Records of Housatonic Monthly Meeting and its predecessors, Housatonic Preparative Meeting and Newtown Preparative Meeting, 1957-ongoing. Includes: Minutes 1957-2022 (with some gaps) and Newsletters 1992-1995.

Newtown Preparative Meeting was established in 1957 as part of Wilton Monthly Meeting. In 1969 the meeting changed its name to Housatonic, and was granted Monthly Meeting status by Purchase Quarterly Meeting in 1971. This meeting remains active to date.

Transferred from Haviland Records Room by NYYM in 1997.
