Overview and metadata sections

Randolph Preparative Meeting was established as Mendham Preparative in 1756 under Woodbridge Monthly Meeting. This meeting was set off to Hardwick and Mendham Monthly Meeting on its establishment in 1797. In 1811 Mendham changed its name to Randolph. On the laying down of Hardwick and Randolph Monthly, Randolph Preparative was set off to Rahway and Plainfield Monthly. After 1856, the preparative meeting was held alternately at Hardwick and Randolph, and was called Hardwick and Randolph Preparative. This meeting was laid down in 1865.

Divided into series: Minutes: 1.1 1790-1826, 1.2 1790-1826 (abstract), 1.3 1826-1865, 1.4 1826-1865 (copy); Women's minutes: 2.1 1834-1852.

Vol.1826-65 includes joint minutes 1855-65.

Original records transferred from Haviland Records Room by NYYM in 1997.
