Abstract:

Records of Farmington Executive meeting of Friends (Hicksite), and its predecessor, Farmington Monthly Meeting (Hicksite), 1787-1857. Includes: minutes (men's & joint), 1828-1927, women minutes, 1803-15 & 1818-53; vital records including births & deaths, 1787-1957, births, daaths, marriages & removals, 1828-67, and a register, 1828-67; minutes of Ministers and Elders, 1879-1913.

Farmington Monthly Meeting was established in 1803, set off from Saratoga Monthly Meeting, under Easton Quarterly. It became a part of Farmington Quarterly Meeting in 1810, when it was established. After the Separation, the Hicksite branch became a part of Genesee Yearly Meeting. It changed to an executive meeting in 1887, meeting quarterly, and was laid down in 1927. The Orthodox branch, which became a united meeting in 1955, remains active to date.
