Overview and metadata sections

DeRuyter Monthly Meeting was established in 1809, set off from Duanesburg Monthly Meeting. It was set off to Farmington Quarterly Meeting in 1810 after having been a part of Stanford Quarterly. In 1825 it was set off again to Scipio Quarterly. The Hicksite branch of this meeting became a part of Genesee Yearly Meeting in 1834 and was laid down after 1886. The Orthodox branch remained a part of New York Yearly Meeting (Orthodox) and was laid down around 1848.
