Overview and metadata sections
In 1986, a group began to meet as Penn Yan/Geneva Quaker Worship Group in local homes. In 1987, Farmington-Scipio Regional Meeting approved the group's application to become a monthly meeting. The meeting was laid down by approval of the regional meeting at the Winter Gathering of January 2023.
Records of Central Finger Lakes Monthly Meeting, 1987-2023. Records include newsletters, business minutes and related reports from Ministry & Counsel and Treasurer, membership-related records, Ministry & Counsel Committee records, and some history materials and other miscellaneous records.
Transferred from Haviland Records Room by NYYM in 1997. Additional deposit (2019) from Michael Wajda. Final deposit (2022) at laying down of meeting.

Minutes often also include an agenda and the treasurer's report and budget and ministry and counsel reports. As a small meeting, many things (prison visitation, annual budget planning etc.) were discerned through the full business meeting, and membership-related records and clerk's correspondence are also present in the files.
