Overview and metadata sections

The Yanks Are Not Coming Committee was a pro-neutrality group within the District Council No. 2 of the Maritime Federation of the Pacific. The Committee's origins lay in the Keep America Out of War Committee, which was a national pro-neutrality organization. The primary activity of the Yanks Are Not Coming Committee was dissemination of pamphlets appealing to labor union members to avoid the rising tide of "war fever". Their activities appear to have been discontinued following the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 194l.

The Swarthmore College Peace Collection is not the official repository for the records of this organization.
