Overview and metadata sections
Known as RIEDAC, this organization was the successor to READ (Research on the Economic Adjustment to Disarmament) which had begun in 1960. It was sponsored by the Center for Research on Conflict Resolution at the University of Michigan, and financed largely by the Carnegie Corporation and Ford Foundation. Emile Benoit was the Director; its main areas of study were disarmament and world economic interdependence.
The Swarthmore College Peace Collection is not the official repository for the records of this organization.
