Overview and metadata sections

The Conference met April 6, 1934 in New York, N.Y. A set of fifteen resolutions resulted, including: the amendment of the U.S. Constitution so as to take away the government's power to prepare for, declare, and carry on war; the mobilization of workers and farmers to prevent war preparedness; and the commending of students who refused to accept military training. Following the Conference, a Continuations Committee was formed to plan and carry out the program adopted by the Conference's constituent organizations.

The Swarthmore College Peace Collection is not the official repository for the records of this conference.
