Miriam Keeler was active in the peace movement during the 1920s through 1940s and later in the 1970s. She participated in such diverse groups as the Women's Peace Union of the Western Hemisphere, the Student Federation of Religious Liberals, the Fellowship of Youth for Peace, the Committee to Oppose the Conscription of Women, the Hunger Strike of COs, and the Greenbelt (Maryland) Amnesty Committee.
