Organized by May Wright Sewall, authorized by the President of the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, the Conference was held on July 4 through 7, 1915, in San Francisco, California. Jane Addams, Lucia Ames Mead, Anna Garlin Spencer, and Carrie Chapman Catt were members of the organizing committee.
