Overview and metadata sections

Delaware County International Arms Trade Action Group ; in 1994, the Friends Committee on National Legislation, in cooperation with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, chose Delaware County, Pennsylvania (most of which is in the Seventh Congressional District) as a target for action against politicians and companies involved with the international arms trade: its goal was to restrict, and eventually stop, the worldwide trafficking in "conventional" but deadly weapons; the group, comprised primarily but not solely of Quakers, was to exist for no more than two years; it disbanded in 1995.
