Abstract:
Collection includes biographical information about Robert Horton; consists primarily of materials gathered for a manuscript titled The Power of the Powerless, a series of biographies and interviews of conscientious objectors to war and those imprisoned for their beliefs.

Robert Horton, 1900-1991; peace and social justice activist; Methodist minister; pacifist; Quaker; served in the American Friends Service Committee's Peace Education section; supported conscientious objectors to war; visited prisoners in federal and military prisons, and founded Prisoner Visitation and Support in 1968.
