Theodore Herman (1913-2010); Ted Herman; pioneer peace studies scholar, Quaker; graduate of Swarthmore College, class of 1935; Ph.D. in geography; professor at Colgate University, where he was director of the Peace and World Order Studies program; Herman worked to bring together opposing sides in the Balkans conflicts; was involved with the International Peace Research Association (IPRA).
