Collection Inventory
The first section of the microfilm, Presidential, Legislative and Municipal Elections (1992-2000) (Files 1-13), contains materials pertaining to specific elections in Argentina since 1992. The materials consist primarily of publicity materials, including numerous small flyers, pamphlets, posters, and even a tee shirt and a balloon. Other materials in this section include statements of parties' platforms, published in monograph form, and several issues of major commercial newspapers.
The files for each election are arranged chronologically, and the materials within those files are grouped by political party.

The second section, Political Movements and Parties (1991-1999) (Files 14-38), contains materials published by various politically active organizations. The materials do not pertain to specific elections, but may include regularly published serials and bulletins or monographs containing party commentary on certain political or socioeconomic trends. This section of the microfilm should not be considered a definitive catalogue of political movements in Argentina, for several reasons. First, materials from many existing organizations may not have become available to the library. Secondly, political alliances in Argentina, as in most Latin American countries, are constantly changing and adjusting. Names of parties, as well as the components of large multi-party coalitions, may change from election to election and from year to year. Where possible, relationships between organizations have been indicated in the inventory of this microfilm.
The materials are grouped alphabetically by publishing organization.

The third section, Political Analysis (1985-2000) (Files 39-43), is divided into general serials, general monographs, and the publications of two specific political watchdog organizations: Conciencia: Movimiento No Partidario para una Participación Cívica Responsible y Eficaz and Fundación Andina. The publications consist of political commentary, unrelated to specific elections, produced by organizations other than Argentina's major political parties. Some of these, like Conciencia and Fundación Andina, exist for the purpose of regular political observation in Argentina and elsewhere. Others may be organizations with a broader socially active scope that happen to have published commentary on Argentine politics.
The publications within each file are listed alphabetically by title.

The fourth and final section, Government Publications (1990-2000) (File 44), consists simply of publications of the Argentine government that pertain to politics in that country. These represent, of course, only a fraction of Argentine government publications in general.
Materials in this section are arranged in alphabetical order by title.
