Overview and metadata sections
Collection consists of correspondence, more than (140) original sketches, primarily in pen, by Yanni Posnakoff, personal documents, photographs, exhibition catalogs, and printed material regarding the life and work of the artist in the United States.

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Collection Inventory
Consists of correspondence with art gallery "Nees Morphes" in Athens (1), with Panagiotis Binioris (one outgoing letter), with the Galerie Internationale, New York (1), and the Intercommunity Council, Morningside Heights, Inc., NY (1). Included also is a handwritten letter from Posnakoff to Iōannēs Chatzopoulos with a text (14 pages) and a sketch in Greek kept in an envelope with another sketch on it (dated 6/3/1997).

Consists of an original Greek certificate of military status of Posnakoff and a certificate of the Office of Vital Statistics and Registry from the Greek Consulate in New York.

Consists of black-and-white photographs of an art exhibition entitled "Posnakoff- γυναίκες" [Posnakoff-women], which took place at the Diogenes International Gallery in Athens, Greece, 1973-1974. Photographs are attached in loose mat boards. The folder where they are kept bears a drawing and Posnakoff's signature dated 1973.

Consists of five large loose sheets (39.5 x 29.5 cm) of a sketch block with sketches of women portrtaits in black ink and color crayon. There are also two smaller sketches (18 x 12.5 cm). Sketches are kept in a large white envelope with the handwritten title "Miscellaneous Works" and three sketches on the cover.
