Overview and metadata sections
Windborne Productions is a Canadian television and film production company that specializes in documentaries and dramas. Filmmaker Karen Pascal is the founder and president.
Consists of eleven Betacam video tapes containing recordings of an interview of Ernest Gordon (1916-2002), along with raw scenes, stills, and B-roll. The videos were shot in the Princeton University Chapel in May 1991 by Windborne Productions under the direction of Karen Pascal. At the time, Windborne had optioned Gordon's book Through the Valley of the Kwai to make a feature film, so the interview focuses on Gordon's capture and internment in the Japanese camps in Burma and Siam (now Myanmar and Thailand) during World War II. The company did not ultimately succeed in making the film, but portions of these interviews were later used to create short episodes for a Canadian television program called 100 Huntley Street.
Arrangement follows a numerical scheme implemented by the creator.
