Alonzo Gore Oakley became manager of the New York office of the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company in 1910 and was promoted to vice-president, resident in New York, in the 1930s.
The collection consists of 50 diaries of Oakley, several of which detail trips taken abroad.
The diaries are arranged chronologically.
