Fabulet, Louis, 1862-1933, translator

Louis Fabulet was a French scholar, primarily known for his translations into French of the works of Rudyard Kipling.

The collection consists of a typed manuscript (360 pp.), with holograph corrections, of Fabulet's translation of Thoreau's Walden, entitled Walden, ou, La Vie dans les Bois, which was published in Paris by Nouvelle Revue Francaise in 1922.

This collection was purchased from Howard Woolmer, Rare Books, in 1999.
