Pilgram, Arthur J. (Arthur Julian), 1851-1915

Arthur Julian Pilgram (Princeton Class of 1902) was an American lawyer, author, historian.

The collection contains manuscripts, lists, and notes of Pilgram (Princeton Class of 1902) for his six-volume work (unpublished?) Military Compendium of Napoleon and His Armies, which covers the Napoleonic and Spanish Wars and the history and organization of the French army and includes regimental and battalion summaries, 1800-1810. Also present are notes on the Balkan states and his essay "Charles I, King of England, A Character Sketch."

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.

This is an unprocessed collection. The contents list provided is a preliminary inventory.

The collection inventory was created by Michael Heist in August 2007.
