A. Philippe Von Hemert was a member of the Princeton Class of 1944.
The collection consists of photostats of a collection compiled by A. Philippe Von Hemert (Princeton Class of 1944), consisting primarily of letters to Anthony Walton White by such historical figures as Alexander Hamilton, Thaddeus Koscuiszko, Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, Dolly Madison, Gouverneur Morris, Baron von Steuben, and George Washington. Also represented are members of the Walton Evans family, and miscellaneous autographs and paper currency of the period are included.
