Overview and metadata sections

Croll, Morris W. (Morris William), 1872-1947

Morris W. Croll, author of The Works of Fulke Greville (Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott, 1903), taught at Princeton.

The collection consists of Croll's notes for lectures, articles, and books focusing on the use of prose by John Lyle, Sir Fulke Greville, Shakespeare, Milton, and the "Attic" prose writers of the 16th century, and also contains material on the Romantic poets and the rhythm of English verse. Contains correspondence from 1920-1930.

This is an unprocessed collection and remains in its original arrangement.

The collection was formed as a result of a departmental practice of combining into one collection manuscript material of various accessions relating to a particular author.

Gift of Edward Steese '24. Additions found in the private book collection of Harriet Cottier and given to the Library by Gaylor.

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure.
