Peyton

Murray S. Peyton was a member of the Princeton University Class of 1957. While at Princeton, Mr. Peyton was on the freshman and varsity track teams, the junior varsity football team, and freshman Glee Club. Mr. Peyton went on to a career in public school administration, while maintaining ties to the Friends of Princeton Track.

The Murray S. Peyton Collection of Princeton Track & Field Materials consists of rosters, meet schedules, programs, score cards, results, clippings, press releases, meet program magazines, and other published materials related to Princeton and Ivy League track & field and cross country.

The collection was assembled and organized by Murray S. Peyton ('57) over 50 years.

The order in which these materials came to Princeton has been maintained, with the exception of the Publications series which has been arranged chronologically.

This collection was donated by Murray S. Peyton. The accession number associated with this donation is AR.2017.064.

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor.
