Overview and metadata sections
The President is the chief executive officer of the University. They preside at all meetings of the boards of trustees and of the faculty and at all academic functions at which they are present and represent the University before the public. The Trustee by-laws charge them with the general supervision of the interests of the University and with special oversight of the departments of instruction.
Consists of the collected reports to the President prepared annually by each academic department and administrative office. The reports detail progress on departmental projects, curriculum developments, faculty and staff changes, and departmental spending. Reports for the academic years 1940-41 through 1995-96 are bound in volumes. In subsequent years, the reports are housed in boxes.
This is an unprocessed collection and remains in its original arrangement.
The Annual Reports to the President are transferred periodically from the Office of the President.
The volumes in box 49 have been treated for mold; however, materials may still be fragile and exhibit signs of damage. Researchers should exercise caution when handling these materials.
This is an unprocessed collection. The contents list provided is a preliminary inventory.
Volumes 43, 83, and 96 are housed in Box 51. The sequel to volume 63, which was also labeled 63, has been renamed volume 131.
No information on appraisal is available.

Annual Reports to the President are closed for 30 years from the date of creation, however, for the academic years 2008-2009 through 2015, all folders are open. Prior to the academic year 2008-2009, reports may contain student records and personnel information that could potentially close the records for a period of 75 years.
Through the 1995-1996 academic year, the reports are bound. If there is restricted material in a bound volume, the entire volume is restricted for a period of 75 years.
For the academic year 1996-1997 through academic year 2007-2008, the reports are not bound and restrictions are at the folder level.
You may request materials during these time periods and staff will review your requests for restrictions.
