Overview and metadata sections
David Lebe was born in Manhattan in 1948. He studied photography at The Philadelphia College of Art from 1966 to 1970, and later taught classes there from 1972 to 1990 while exhibiting his own photography in private galleries and museums. In 1992, he left Philadelphia for New York’s Hudson Valley, where he continues to create and exhibit his works.
Archival materials from the artist David Lebe, consisting of a dozen exhibition posters, a small envelope of artist’s greeting cards, and other ephemera.
These materials were arranged and described by Sarah Lerner in 2016.

Contains artist bio (1), wall labels (3), photographic illsutrations on card (2 photographs on 1 card), and photo-reporgraphic version of illustrations (1).

To the front of the envelope is affixed a postcard-sized gelatin silver print of Angelo on The Roof, with Lebe’s wet-stamp in the unprinted area below the image.
Special issue: “David Lebe: Panoramic Pinhole Photographs, 1969-1975” with contributions from Eric Renner, David Lebe, Richard Kagan, and Sarah Van Keuren.
Lebe is a featured artist in this book. Book published by Focal Press in 2014.
