Arthur Haines entered Haverford in 1895 and left at the end of his junior year. During his time at Haverford, Haines was class vice president, captain of the 1897 football team, a member of the cricket team, and a member of the English tour of 1896. After graduating, he worked in advertising and finance. He was a member of the Germantown Cricket Club and treasurer and trustee of the Society for Ethical Culture.
This collection contains Arthur Haines's sketchbook and acquisition information about the sketchbook and other Arthur Haines materials. The sketchbook contains pen and ink drawings all created by Haines. Most sketches are portraits or cartoons. Only one sketch is in color.
