Overview and metadata sections

John Willets was born in Queens County, New York and entered Haverford in 1850. It is possible that he left Haverford around 1851, prior to graduating. He married Amelia Underhill in 1858 and died in New York City on January 22, 1879.

This collection contains five compositions written by John Willets. The compostitions are titled "On Tobacco," "Emigration to the United States," "Farming," "Evils of Public Life," and "Evils of Public Life Concluded."
