William Pickering Flowers entered Haverford in 1857 and left at the close of his Sophomore year in 1859. Flowers then attended Antioch College and later worked as a teacher and the editor of Flowers' Family Magazine. Flowers married Sarah Lavinia Bump in 1865 and died in Bayonne, New Jersey in 1894.

This collection contains one letter written by William Flowers during his time at Haverford College. The letter is addressed to "Esteemed friend S.T.B."
