Abstract:
The collection contains a printout and a handwritten version of a letter sent by C.C. Wistar's mother to him whilst he was studying at Haverford College. The letter was written two days after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

Caleb Cresson Wistar (1846-1917) was a member of the Haverford College Class of 1865. He later studied law at the University of Pennsylvania and became a wholesale and commission merchant.

The collection contains a printout and a handwritten version of a letter sent by C.C. Wistar's mother to him whilst he was studying at Haverford College. The letter was written two days after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

The materials are arranged chronologically.
