John Trimble Troth was born on October 31, 1833, the son of Samuel Fothergill Troth and Mary Trimble. He entered Haverford College in 1851 and left in 1851. While at Haverford he was the editor of The Collegian. He married Elizabeth Taylor Lippincott on October 30, 1856. He was a farmer and school director in Burlington, New Jersey. He died on October 20, 1860.
This collection contains a notebook with essays by Troth, some that were read at society meetings or written for the Haverford publications, particularly the Collegian.
This collection is arranged in one volume.
Purchased from Frederick Wilty for $2.50 in 1938.
