Overview and metadata sections
The Gay People's Alliance was a bi-college (Haverford and Bryn Mawr) club from the 1970's to the approximately 1989, when it was succeeded by the Bisexual, Gay, and Lesbian Alliance (BGALA).
This collection is primarily comprised of materials created by the Gay People's Alliance. Logs were kept 1976-1977, 1982-1983, and 1988-1992. These logs contain brief entries from members throughout the year regarding the happenings of the club's office hours. There is a diary kept by Gay People's Alliance members from 1985 until 1995, when the group had become the Bisexual, Gay, and Lesbian Alliance. Additionally, there are number of publications regarding sexuality in college, both created and acquired by the club. There are magazines as well as academic articles. The collection also includes materials on Customs and an Honor Council trial regarding a homophobic incident on campus in 1988. Finally, the collection includes a Gay People's Alliance t-shirt.
