Overview and metadata sections

The Underground defined itself as "an open forum for journalism, satire, and commentary." A BiCo publication, it promised to print all opinions and to try to create a space for people who felt that their opinions were not being represented in the campus newspapers.

Issues of The Underground included essays and drawings. The content sometimes responded to essays in previous issues. Essays deal with issues including rape, censorship on campus, and the honor code. Many of the viewpoints expressed could be described as conservative.
