Overview and metadata sections

The first issue of Dormouse appeared in fall 2007. The magazine defined its goal as "to foster intellectual and cultural life on campus by encouraging conversations that are sincere rather than glib or witty, thoughtful rather than egotistical." It described itself as a "democratic/anarchic publication," inviting anyone to write, shape, and edit the publication. Meetings at La Casa Hispanica offered editing, peer review, and the opportunity to shape the publication.

Dormouse was a literary magazine which included both poetry and prose. Some entries are signed, while others are not. It is unclear whether further issues beyond the initial one were produced.
