Daniel H. Weiss served as Haverford's 14th president from 2013 to 2015. His time in office saw the beginning of the Plan for Haverford 2020 and a substantial fundraising campaign.

Weiss received his bachelor's from George Washington University, and holds Ph.D. in art history from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Weiss became a member of the art history department at Johns Hopkins after receiving his Ph.D., later becoming chair of the department and then dean of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. From 2005 to 2013, he served as President of Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Weiss left Haverford to become President and Chief Executive Officer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
