Isaac Norris (1701-1766) was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on October 3, 1701, the son of Isaac Norris, Sr., a Quaker merchant, and Mary Lloyd. On June 6, 1739, Norris married Sarah Logan (1715-1744), and the couple had four children: Mary (1740-1803), Sarah (1744-1769), James, and Isaac. Norris died on June 13, 1766 in Philadelphia.
This collection is comprised of the two volumes of notebooks of Isaac Norris, largely related to agriculture.

This date book includes notes on events related to Norris's farm, arranged alphabetically. Dates inlcudes notes on harvests, butchering of live stock, the breeding of live stock, planting crops, and notes on beekeeping.
This notebook includes notes on the hay harvests for the harvest season in 1762 and 1763.
