Margaret Ellis became a convinced Quaker at age 14. She was a minister in the Society of Friends.

This collection is comprised of the single volume manuscript of Margaret Ellis's memoir. The volume begins with an account of Ellis's convincement (conversion to Quakerism) at the age of 14, her experiences in the Society of Friends, her experiences as a minister, and her travels as a minister in England from Philadelphia with her friend Margaret Lewis.
