Margaret Parvin (Masters) Warner (1817-1895) was born on September 7, 1817, in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, to David and Mary (Eves) Masters. She had eight siblings. On September 25, 1845, she married Benjamin Warner at Greenwood Monthly Meeting, Pennsylvania. She died on March 18, 1895, and is buried at Friends Meeting House Cemetery, Pennsdale, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

This collection is comprised of the single volume commonplace book of Margaret Parvin Masters. The volume includes poetry copied by various Friends, including Jane Edwards, Rebecca B. Johnson, Amy Eastlack, Susanna Lightfoot, Anna Mendenhall, Sidney Stevenson, and James Emlen. The poetry included in the commonplace book generally relates to friendship and faith.
