Rebecca Conard (1800-1875) was born January 27, 1800, the daughter of Paul Conard and Sarah Roberts. From 1841 to 1843, she was a teacher of sewing and writing at Westtown School, Pennsylvania. She published a book of poems in 1875. Rebecca Conard died May 1, 1875, in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

This collection is comprised of the single volume commonplace book of Rebecca Conard. The volume includes poetry, extracts on religious and moral topics, and hymns.
