Deborah Bunting Haines (1819-1900) was born July 26, 1819, in Burlington County, New Jersey, to Samuel and Deborah (Middleton) Bunting. Haines married Josiah Lippencott Haines (1811-1892) on January 30, 1840. She died June 17, 1900, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This collection is comprised of two volumes of the diaries of Deborah Bunting Haines. Entries describe weather, family news, social calls, religious reflection, and descriptions of Quaker meetings.
