Abstract:
This collection contains a letter on the Steere's trip to England in 1968, and a letter on the Steere's trip to various places in Asia in 1970, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Douglas V. Steere was born on August 31, 1901 in Harbor Beach, Michigan. He was a professor of philosophy at Haverford College from 1928-1964. His Quaker post-war relief work in Finland, Norway, and Poland earned him the Decoration of Knight 1st Class of the White Rose of Finland.

This collection contains a letter on the Steere's trip to England in 1968, and a letter on the Steere's trip to various places in Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.
