Overview and metadata sections

Lansdowne Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) was established in 1901 by Concord Quarterly Meeting out of Darby Monthly Meeting. Lansdowne Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) was established in 1904 by Concord Quarterly Meeting out of Chester Monthly Meeting (Orthodox). In 1951, the Hicksite and Orthodox monthly meetings merged to form a united monthly meeting. In 1955, Lansdowne Monthly Meeting became part of the newly-formed Chester Quarterly Meeting. Lansdowne Monthly Meeting is currently an active monthly meeting.

This collection contains materials relating to the Lansdowne monthly meeting, including pamphlets published by the meeting and photographs of students at various Friends schools.

This collection is arranged in a single folder.

The Lansdowne Friends meeting materials were donated to Special Collections, Haverford College in 1999 by Gerda Hergraves. Accession # 6360.
