The Allen family traces its ancestry to one of William Penn's commissioners, Nathaniel Allen, who landed at Chester Creek in 1681.

This collection contains six letters written between Charles Allen and various members of his family between the years of 1879 and 1896.

This collection is arranged in a single folder.

The Charles Allen letters were donated to Special Collections, Hverford College in 1989 by Gertrude MacIntosh Brett. Accession # 5274.
