Rebecca Wood Robinson was born in 1924, and was trained as a classical archaeologist. She worked at the excavation at Corinth, Greece, with her husband, Henry S. Robinson. The two belonged to the Cleveland Friends Meeting. Robinson died in 2009.

Martha (Marty) Paxson Grundy is a member of Cleveland Friends Meeting. She has served widely among Friends in North America through writing and facilitating retreats and workshops, and has served as clerk of her monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings. Marty served as recording clerk for the Religious Education and Central Committees of Friends General Conference (FGC), and was founding clerk of the committee establishing FGC's Traveling Ministries Program. Grundy earned a Ph.D. in American History from Case Western Reserve University in 1990. Her published writing includes The Evolution of a Quaker Community: Middletown Meeting, Bucks County, Pennsylvania 1750-1850, edited and annotated versions of David Ferris's memoirs and of Sandra L. Cronk's journal and writings, three monographs, contributions to nine edited collections, and numerous articles and book reviews. She and her husband live in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

This collection contains letters written by Rebecca Wood Robinson to her friend Marty Grundy. The two met in the 1970's when Robinson's husband was teaching at Case Western Reserve University.

This collection is arranged in two folders.
