Barclay R. Leeds (1834-1918) was the child of Daniel Leeds and Rebecca Lake. In 1867, he married Mary Maule Leeds (1841-1914), who was the child of Margaret Evans and Benjamin Maule. They were members of Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, and had three children, including Arthur Newlin Leeds (1870-1939) and Morris Evans Leeds (1869-1952).
Arthur Newlin Leeds (1870-1939) became a member of Philadelphia Monthly Meeting - Northern District, and died as a member of Frankford Monthly Meeting.
Morris Evans Leeds (1869-1952) married Hadassah J. Moore, and had two daughters. He was a member of the Haverford Corporation and served on the Board of Managers, including as President of the Board from 1928 to 1945. He was a member of Germantown Monthly Meeting (Orthodox).
Half of the collection is photographs, especially of trips to various places in the northeast. The other half is predominately correspondence written between family members.
This collection has two series: Correspondence and Photographs. Correspondence has subseries by person. Photographs have been arranged by place, and then chronologically.
