Overview and metadata sections

David Scull (1799-1884)and Edward Scull are the son of Gideon Scull. David Scull acted as the director of Bank of North America and was an early contributer of Pennslyvania Hospital. Scull acted as the Manager for Haverford College between 1865-1907.

The collection consists of correspondence to Edward Scull, who made a religious visit with Rufus King to North Carolina and England and traveled around the United States with J. Bevan Braithwaite. He called on John Greenleaf Whittier in 1878; two letters from Whittier are included in the collection, as well as two from Edward's brother, David, Haverford, 1854, and manager from 1865-1907. There are also several miscellaneous items including a lock of hair and information about Denmark.
