George Kissam Meynen, Jamaica, N.Y., surgeon, was born on 3 Feb. 1861. He married Elizabeth E. Ackett in 1894. Meynen died on 7 Apr. 1939. Meynen received an M.D. from New York University in 1885 and became chief surgeon for the Long Island Rail Road Company. He was also on the staffs of the Mary Immaculate, Jamaica, and Mineola hospitals in Jamaica, N.Y., and a member of the New York Academy of Medicine.

Volume of notes taken by George Kissam Meynen on orthopedic surgery clinics and lectures of Newton M. Shaffer in the Medical Department of New York University, 1884 Sept. 20-1885 Feb. 13. Includes case histories of individual patients treated at New York Orthopaedic Dispensary and Hospital.
