The Women's Committee of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia was organized in 1971 by Mrs. Frank Elliott to promote the welfare of the College through volunteer activities, publicity, and financial support. It is currently [1994] an active organization. The organization is not an official College committee but exists in an independent relation to the institution. The Women's Committee was accorded offical recognition by College Council on 26 Oct. 1971. Its officers are a president, president-elect, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, and treasurer; each serves a two-year term and is a member of the Committee's Executive Board.
