Overview and metadata sections
The Museum Council of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley fosters professional development of and networking among member institutions and individuals involved with collections in the Greater Philadelphia area. We the People 200, Inc. was formed to organize the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the United States Constitution. One program, called "Passport to the World," involved placing objects from foreign institutions on display in a variety of Philadelphia institutions for the duration of the centennial celebration.
This is a collection of correspondence and contact information related to the "Passport to the World" program of the We the People 200 celebration. The collection includes letters from government and museum officials in countries (from Algeria to Zimbabwe) to Sandra Choukroun, of We the People 200, as well as information about the program sent by John V. Alviti of the Museum Council of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley to participating Philadelphia institutions.
