Matthew T. Moore (1901-1997) studied neurology, neurosurgery, and neuropathology. He graduated from Temple University Medical School in 1927. Moore was Professor of Neuropathology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Professor of Neurology at Temple University. Moore served as a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and was one of its examiners (1958-1962).

This is a collection of papers of Matthew T. Moore. Bound volumes include: professional papers, such as reprints, articles, reports on grant projects, and poems; a volume of poetry; and a curriculum vitae. Other items include additional copies of articles and reprints; photographs; a curriculum vitae of Stella Moore (Dr. Moore's wife); and a small amount of correspondence, including letters to Professor J.O. Trelles, the director of Revista de Neuro-Psiquiatria, and Moore's 1985 letter to patients announcing his retirement.
