Henry Bond was born in Watertown, Mass., on 21 March 1790 to Henry Manuel Bond. He received his A.B. (1813) and M.D. (1817) from Dartmouth College. After practicing medicine in Concord, New Hampshire for two years, he moved his practice to Philadelphia in 1819. Bond was a member of the Philadelphia Board of Health (1833-1838) and served a term as its President (1837-1838). He also served a term as Vice-President of the Philadelphia Medical Society (1844). Bond was elected a Fellow of the College of Physicians on 5 July 1825 and served as Secretary from 1833-1843. On 4 May 1859 Bond died of heart disease in Philadelphia.

One volume (169 pages) containing prescriptions and some household formulae at end. Flyleaf is dated 1815 and bottom entry on p.88 is dated 21 Aug. 1826. Includes references to Drs. Borrows, Samuel Jackson, Physick, Ferriar, et al.
