A letterpress copybook containing the personal outgoing correspondence of William A. Lamson spanning six months from November 1882 to May 1883. During this six-month period Lamson worked as secretary for the Mexican Central Railway Company and was living in a mining camp in Sonora, Mexico. An oversize volume probably created during the nineteenth century in Florence, Italy by a member of the Peruzzi family. "Album de stampine antiche" is written on a decorative label pasted on the cover. The volume contains a scrapbook comprised of cutouts from books of over 350 woodcuts and engravings of decorative printers' marks including borders, initials, head-pieces, tail-pieces, portions of title pages, and vignettes. The books represented in the volume were published from 1569 to 1790.
